Located in Moundsville WV, this historic prison was the previous home to Charles Manson and has recently been the focus of the Sci-Fi Channel's "Ghost Hunters" investigation. The tour takes your through the rows of cells to get a first hand look at what life was like in this cold and imposing penitentiary. An impressive sight the prison is constructed of stone and fashioned in the castellated Gothic architectural style (adorned with turrets and battlements, like a castle). Also included is a chance to visit "Old Sparky" the penitentiary's electric chair and Wagon Gate where in the early days prisoners were hung from the rafters... Night and Halloween tours are available.
